Lastly we help you navigate the federal and state regulations related to each of your products. Be aware that total costs for labels, production and other fees can add up to around $2000 to $3000.

We begin with the mutual signatures for the non-disclosure form. You can then send us your product sample along with a written recipe/formula. Make sure you weigh all ingredients carefully (even liquid ingredients). Also note the brands and strength of the ingredient(i.e. vinegar is in grain strength). We will verify the pH level of the control sample you have sent us. We will determine if we are capable of producing the product in our facility. If we are able to produce your product, we will make a lab sample using our ingredients. There may be additional fees involved if work is needed to break out ingredients into their core components. At this point you must have a nutritional, ingredient, and an allergen statement made for the FDA label. There is a one time fee charged for each product ($100).

When these initial steps are completed and you have approved the flavor of the lab sample, we will submit the formula to the State of California for approval. This takes about 3-4 weeks for the State to make their determination. After we receive an answer, we are ready to make your first batch. Typically, the minimum batch size is 80 gallons. This quantity will be distributed based on selected container volume producing approximately 60 dozen (12 fl oz bottle). You should have your label made prior to production. All labels must be approved by our office so they are FDA compliant. Keep in mind that we only pack retail glass bottles and also plastic gallons and plastic pails (for food service).
