
"A delicious treat."
This easy recipe has layers of amazing flavor and is perfect for your friends and family.
Ingredients:
- Cream Cheese Pound Cake or Regular Pound Cake
- 2 - 18oz jars of E. Waldo Ward's Brandied Cherries
- 1/3 cup brandy (use brandy that Waldo Ward brandied cherries come in)
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- 1/2 cup grated dark chocolate
Directions:
- Cut the pound cake into bite size pieces.
- In a sauce pan, heat the cherries along with the brandy and simmer for a couple of minutes.
- In a pan, mix the cream cheese until smooth and then add the cream and sugar and mix well with blender on low speed. Then turn up the speed to medium to fluff up the whip.
- To serve, add half the bite size pound cake to serving cups or glasses.
- Top with half the cherries and juice, then the whip cream, almonds and shaved chocolate.
- Repeat the last step one more time. You can sprinkle some left over almonds and chocolate on the top.
- Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours before serving. Enjoy.
