"Unforgettable cookies."

1 cup butter
  ½ cup sugar
  2 cups flour
  Dash of salt
  Grated rind and juice of ½ lemon
  1/3 lb. grated almonds
  ½ cup E. Waldo Ward Red Raspberry Preserves

Preheat oven to 350º F.

2  Cream butter and sugar.

3  Add flour, salt, lemon and nuts. Cover and chill for 1 hour.

4  Roll out very thin on a lightly floured board and cut with crinkled biscuit cutter.

5  Sandwich together with Red Raspberry jam to make a sandwich.

6  Bake on a greased sheet until moderately brown.

Makes 12 cookies
